Savannah Duke

Training Manager, Cook's Pest Control

Savannah Duke is an entomologist with a Master of Science degree in Entomology from Auburn University. Duke earned an assistantship that included extensive field research and a teaching role to complete her master’s at Auburn under Dr. Kathy Flanders. Teaching entomology lab at Auburn combined her love of helping people with her passion for entomology. After graduating with her master’s, Duke was hired as the Public Health Entomologist for the Division of Infectious Diseases and Outbreaks at Alabama Department of Public Health. She served the state of Alabama there for two years before making her move to Cook’s Pest Control. In August of 2020, Duke came to Cook’s as a Corporate Technical Specialist and was later promoted to Corporate Technical Manager. In 2022 she passed the national board exam to become a Board-Certified Entomologist (BCE). In June of 2023 she was promoted to the role of Cook’s Training Manager. She is responsible for all of the company’s training initiatives as well as the company-wide Leadership Development Program.

Savannah is newly married to her husband Matthew. Both are Florida transplants living happily in north Alabama. Most days you’d find them gardening, on the river, or spending time with their 2 labrador retrievers.
